Natural Oils Workers

Aromatherapy has been practiced in one form or another since the beginning of civilization. It is the art and science of using oils extracted from aromatic plants to enhance healing, beauty and well being. Apart from the physical benefits, essential oils can have subtle effects on the mind and emotions. The essential oils taken from plants and used in aromatherapy have been described as their "life-force"; they are essential to the plants' biological process, as well as being the substance which gives them their scent. Synthetic oils, even chemically similar, will lack all the natural elements and that vital 'life-force' that makes essential oils so therapeutically valuable.
Aromatherapy is the use of concentrated plant extracts (essential oils) in treating a wide variety of emotional, physical and psychological conditions. Many of todays medications are based on the active ingredients of a plant extract which is synthesized in a laboratory with the balance of other therapeutic parts of the plants left out of the formulation. By using Essential Oils you can receive the complete therapeutic value of all parts of the plant extract and all the value of the active ingredients in its purest form.
Essential Oils enter your body via two main ways:
1. Through your lungs via vaporises, oil burners and steam inhalation.
2. Through your skin via baths, massage, perfumes and poultices.

Our Jojoba Oil is gently cold pressed from Jojoba seeds. Environmentally friendly, jojoba trees capture the sun's rays to produce a 100% pure botanical product.  100% free of dyes, chemicals, synthetics & other common irritants.  Jojoba saves sperm whales by replacing demand for whale oil with superior jojoba liquid esters and unlike sperm whale oil, jojoba is a renewable resource.
Jojoba Oil is uniquely formulated to protect against nature's damaging elements.  Jojoba blends with the skin and gives an enriching lustre that's natural and non-greasy.  Jojoba is extra mild for sensitive skin, jojoba won't clog pores.  It absorbs into the skin's surface to dramatically reduce the appearance of fine lines and help skin look younger and smoother.

Bath Oils

Recent scientific research using radio-active isotopes has provided proof the Essentials Oils added to bath water are absorbed through the skin, with body immersed for 10 minutes. A certain quality of odoriferous molecules will penetrate the skin, while others will be inhaled as vapor.  Normally bath oils with essential oils in their formulation are not completely used friendly, as the essential oils sit on top of the bath water, not mixing in and end up making the bath slippery when exiting from it.

Our bath oils have a natural emulsifier added to them, and once stirred throughout the bath water, they mix throughout the bath.

Our RECCOMENDATIONS

Massage is the most effective method of using essential oils by combining their individual properties with the power of touch. The essential oils should not be used undiluted, but should be diluted with a carrier - base oil. (see product range). A dilution of 3% essential oil to carrier (base oil) is a recommended starting point. For babies always halve the percentage.

Baths are a simple, effective and pleasant way to relax and receive the therapeutic effects of essential oils. Water itself has therapeutic value which enhances the powers of the essential oils. Add 6-10 drops of essential oils to the surface of the water which has already been run. Do not add any bath oil or foam bath and immerse yourself for about 20 minutes, inhaling those luxurious vapors.

Compresses comprise of a clean cotton cloth soaked in 100ml of warm water which has had 5-10 drops of essential oils added to it. Wring out the cloth and place onto the affected area.

Inhalation can also be used as an aromatic treatment by adding 5-10 drops of essential oils into a bowl of steaming water and placing a towel over your head to inhale the vapours, this process is recommended only for a few minutes so as the affect is most beneficial.

Vaporisation

Oil Burners can create and compliment many different atmospheres, for example: dinner parties, quiet romantic evenings, near the desk to clear your mind or next to bed to clear a snuffy nose or even to aid in the symptoms of the flu.

Electric Burners are very effective in dispensing a fragrance from a low heat source, therefore making the water and the oils last longer than usual.
