These sound like very grand ideas
I know, but if the conscious of many more of
the earths population can be made aware of the damages of pollution in all forms
we will be
well on our way to making a difference to our world for generations to come,
ourselves, our plants, animals and our atmosphere.
There are only benefits.
When new people start with us they have a lot of questions about the products. So we have put together some brief adds to try and explain some of the items, this list will grow as we get time, so we hope this helps you as you go though the links on the left.
We hope that this site will be as much yours as it is ours, we value your input.
Lets do an exercise in "thinking outside the square".
The square being our home.
Look up your street and ponder this thought for a moment. Several times a day families go to their bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and yards. They use soaps, baby washes, shampoos and conditioners, anti dandruff treatments, detergents, cleaners and many other products that wash directly down the plughole. (The majority of these products in homes at the moment are chemical based. Go... read the ingredient lists on labels. You'll see what I mean.) There is also more then one outlet in our home. Most homes have bathroom sinks some with two or three bathrooms, a laundry sink and a washing machine outlet, a kitchen sink some with dishwasher outlets, toilets - one or several, swimming pool overflows and drains under our taps front and back. In the old days you used to be able to grow good mint under the back tap not anymore the new housing estates have put concrete and a drain that in most instances goes nowhere.
I agree not every home has all of these but most homes have a minimum of 7 outlets. From there no more thought is given to this process. We are clean, or have cleaned, we are invigorated and ready to do whatever it is that we have to undertake in our lives and we all have busy lives. Give thought to the amount of product you as an individual have just washed down the plug and multiply by every house in the street having anywhere from one to five people on average living within. Multiply by your suburb. Multiply by your city. Multiply by your country. That's a lot of chemicals per day washing away with high percentages of these chemicals ending up in our waterways and then in our oceans. Here in Australia authorities are asking why our Great Barrier Reef is bleaching, you don't have to be Einstein to work it out.
Heaven has been given to us here on earth but we have chosen to overlook this and sleepwalk through our lives. Wake up everyone, smell the roses. We are subconsciously driven by hype and marketing:- Use this product and you too can have a wonderful relationship with a big muscular man like the one we paid to do this advertising. Or a beautiful girl will fall at your feet if you use our mouthwash. Or you will be the most popular teenager if you use our acne cream. All hollow advertising promises. These big companies are marketing to our emotions. You take the emotion out of the campaigns the advertising doesn't work. We are being brainwashed slowly generation-by-generation. We don't have to die to go to heaven it surrounds us every moment of our days. Our Garden of Eden is our earth. It has everything we need to function on a day to day basis, with some thought and consideration the earth holds many answers to many questions. We have not asked the questions properly yet to get the right answers.
Our aim here at G&J Cosmetics is to provide knowledge and information along with various different ranges of products that are developed from the earth for the earth. Everything we need is right under our noses but we need to appreciate how to use and source our earthly wealth.
If we keep in mind at all times our earth is a living, breathing, feeling being this philosophy will serve us well the next time we put something down a sink on in a toilet. We get back three fold what we give out or so the saying goes, so if we are constantly sending a chemical sludge from our home what is it that we can expect to get back.
We need to think outside the square just because we can't see something anymore doesn't mean that it has gone away and will no longer hurt us. These cycles have to be broken, education and knowledge are the only way to achieve this.
